About Vital Tea Leaf
Vital Tea Leaf is a tea shop in San Francisco, California. It is listed at 905 Grant Ave, San Francisco, CA 94133, which places it among the local businesses of San Francisco that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in San Francisco with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in California may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ7 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (415) 981-2388. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is vitaltealeaf.net, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 693 reviews, which is a strong result for a tea shop in San Francisco and suggests consistent service.
San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in San Francisco peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

One of my favorite SF visit highlights! We stumbled upon this place accidentally, and ended up spending over an hour tasting delicious teas. It was SUCH a blast and very educational. βKenny Aguilarβ made the experience so much more fun! We had such a great experience and will be coming back every time we come to SF!

walked by and saw free tea tasting/education - the owner is so kind and knowledgeable and took some time with a young boy who is a tea lover getting him all set up with his cups and tea to take home, and wrapped everything with care and took a photo with him. it such a great spot to relax and learn about tea. took home a few cute cups, too!

A tea lover's dream. Uncle Gee's family is one I am happy to be apart of. FYI, there are two locations right next to each other. You may walk by one on the way to the other. If so, peek in, look for Uncle Gee, and older gentleman - that's who you want serving you tea.

It was a great tea tasting experience. The person serving us was friendly and very open to share tea and information about the varieties we were trying. The place is cozy, has a bathroom and many seats. If you are around Chinatown is definitely a great experience to have. Prices are reasonable and there are many varieties

We had a wonderful time learning about the many different kinds of teas with Chris. He was helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed our nearly 2 hours there. We ended up purchasing (Uncle Iroh's favorite) Ginseng tea and a tea set as well! We've just used it at home for the first time today and are so happy with it. Thank you, Vital Tea Leaf, for establishing an amazing community-friendly local spot!
